81 AR
B1 Industrial, Singapore
As one drives from MacPherson towards Sims Avenue, the building emerges from a cluster of light industrial structures with a bold and sculptural presence. The project rethinks the industrial building typology using a dark, curvilinear façade introducing a sense of fluidity and architectural expression rarely seen in the area. In a landscape often dominated by generic and repetitive forms, 81AR asserts itself as a distinctive architectural landmark.

The façade composition—defined by its arch elements, layered depth, and dark material palette—evokes a modern gothic aesthetic, where sculptural intensity meets restraint. Red corten and expanded mesh elements introduce a tactile industrial reference, grounding the building in its context while enriching its visual rhythm. Merging ambition with functionality, the project establishes a new language for light industrial developments in the city.
